Influenza (Flu) Vaccine Updates
Seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine is available to anyone who wants it. Vaccine
for seasonal flu will not protect you against H1N1 (swine flu). The viruses are
different even though the symptoms may be similar. Information on H1N1 (swine
flu) is available on the
Department of
Health's H1N1 Web page.
To get a seasonal flu vaccine:
- Contact your health care provider or
local health department.
- Call the Family Health Hotline at 1-800-322-2588 to find an
immunization clinic in your area.
- Go to the American Lung Association's online
Flu Shot
Locator and enter your zip code, the number of miles you are willing to
travel to get the vaccine, and the timeframe in which you would like the
vaccine.
