2009-2010 Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Vaccine Updates

Seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine is available to anyone who wants it. Vaccine for seasonal flu will not protect you against H1N1 (swine flu). The viruses are different even though the symptoms may be similar. Information on H1N1 (swine flu) is available on the Department of Health's H1N1 Web page.

To get a seasonal flu vaccine:

  • Contact your health care provider or local health department.
  • Call the Family Health Hotline at 1-800-322-2588 to find an immunization clinic in your area.
  • Go to the American Lung Association's online Flu Shot Locator and enter your zip code, the number of miles you are willing to travel to get the vaccine, and the timeframe in which you would like the vaccine.
