Adults, just like children and teens, need immunizations to stay healthy. The adult immunization schedule below displays the immunizations that are recommended for all adults, adults with chronic health conditions, weakened immune systems, pregnant women, and health care workers.

Vaccine information for adults

These factors determine which immunizations adults need.

• Age.
• Job.
• Health conditions.
• Activities.

Talk to your health care provider if you have questions about any immunization. The links below include information about each vaccine and the diseases they can prevent.

• Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR).
• Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) booster.
• Tetanus and diphtheria (Td) booster.
• Hepatitis A.
• Hepatitis B.
• Chickenpox (Varicella).
• Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
• Shingles. This vaccine is only recommended for people aged 60 and older.

• Meningococcal Vaccines (MCV4, MPSV4).
• Influenza (Flu) Vaccine. Adults that are family members or caregivers of high risk people also need to get their flu vaccinations.
• Pneumococcal Vaccines (PCV7, PPV23).
