MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Vaccine

The MMR vaccine protects against measles, mumps, and rubella. The vaccines for these diseases are usually given as combination vaccine of  live, weakened viruses.

Doses of MMR vaccine are routinely given:

  • Between ages 12 and 15 months and are required for a kids 16 months and older entering school or child care.
  • Before the start of the kindergarten.
