Bright Futures, funded by the federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau, is a national initiative to promote and improve the health, education, and well being of all children and their families. In February, 2002, the American Academy of Pediatrics was awarded the Bright Futures cooperative agreements and initiated the Bright Futures Education Center and the Bright Futures Pediatric Implementation Project.
