Washington State Disability Data

Disability is more common than you may think.  One in five Washington adults has a disability.  They may be born with a limitation, or over their lifetime experience a disease or injury that restricts their activities.

Disability can be defined in many different ways, but usually is used to refer to a restriction in ability to perform the major activities of life because of a physical, mental, or emotional impairment or condition.
