2007 MCH Consolidated Contract

 Funding Formula Advisory Workgroup

Workgroup Purpose: 

  • Review the current funding formula methodology for apportioning the MCHBG Consolidated Contract to local health jurisdictions and recommend improvements.

  • Make a recommendation on how to apply future federal block grant increases or decreases to funding allocations.

  • Recommend a timeline for future review and revision of the MCHBG LHJ allocation formula.

 Workgroup Objectives: 

  • Successful LHJ-DOH workgroup process for reviewing and making recommendations for revision of MCHBG LHJ funding formula methodology. June 2007.

  • DOH-OMCH consideration of recommendations from MCHBG-LHJ Funding Formula Advisory Workgroup and, if indicated, adoption of a revised MCHBG funding formula methodology for implementation into the 2009-2010 contract.

  • Recommendation for development of processes for applying future funding increases or decreases to the funding formula. June 2007.
