Tuberculosis Services Manual

The TB Services Manual outlines how public health staff complete TB control tasks in Washington State. Those who work in health fields are the most likely readers of the manual. They may include, but are not limited to: Nurses (city, county, regional public health), Physicians and physician consultants, State TB services staff, Indian Health Services Staff, Public Health Officers, Epidemiologists, and Outreach workers.

This manual provides guidelines, recommendations, and examples from national, state, and local groups. In Washington State, state law and rule defines the way TB is controlled. You can review the state laws and rules around TB for Washington State. These are the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 70.28.005 and the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 246-170.
