Resources for health professionals

Improving the health of all women at a younger age:

• May prevent many chronic diseases later in life.

• Increases the likelihood of healthier pregnancies, healthier babies and healthier children, whether the pregnancy is planned or not (half of the pregnancies in Washington State are unplanned).

• May find medical conditions early on that could have a negative impact on a future pregnancy or child.
