Children's Environmental Health Training

The Washington State Environmental Health Association, in cooperation with the Collaborative on Health on the Environment (Washington chapter)--Children's Environmental Health Working Group held their first Children's Environmental Health Trainings in August 2011.  Learning objectives for the trainings were as follows:

  • Describe how current work activities have a positive impact on children's environmental health.

  • Identify and remediate common home environmental heath hazards.

  • Describe possible sources of lead exposure, including ethnic remedies, among children in Washington.

  • Discuss recommendations for future public health activities at the state and local levels to improve children's environmental health
