Supervisor Certification for Drug Lab Cleanup

About Certification | Worker | Supervisor | Contractor | Training Provider | Cleanup Resources


The following steps must be completed to become a certified clandestine drug lab decontamination supervisor. Supervisor certification can last for up to 2 years. To determine the exact application fee, see the Supervisor Certification Application Form below.

Reciprocal supervisor certification is currently not offered. 

Step 1

Become a certified worker.

Read the Supervisor Certification Application Form (PDF 588KB) to make sure you understand the requirements for supervisor certification.

Step 2

With your current HAZWOPER certification, enroll in a certification course. For course registration contact:

Step 3

Complete:

  • 1-day clandestine drug lab decontamination supervisor certification course.

  • Forty hours of on-site experience as a certified worker on hazardous material decontamination projects. See types of acceptable experience on the Supervisor Certification Application Form (PDF 588KB).

Step 4

Submit a Supervisor Certification Application Form (PDF 588KB).

Certification Renewal

Keep your certificate current by taking a refresher course and submitting a renewal application form.
