CCS Scholarships
Available
The Pacific Northwest
Section of the American Water Works Association (PNWS-AWWA)
Cross-Connection Control Committee has training scholarships
available. The scholarships cover costs of training taken to
obtain certification as a Department of Health Cross-Connection
Control Specialist (CCS).
Owners and employees of
DOH approved public water systems are eligible, if the water
system meets the following conditions:
-
Has 300 - 2500 active
water service connections; and
-
Does not have anyone
employed by your water system that is currently certified as
a Cross Connection Control Specialist; and
-
Has a direct
permanent employee of the water system assigned to actively
administer the Cross Connection Control Program. This
employee may not be a contract operator.
-
Has not received a
scholarship from the PNWS-AWWA Cross Connection Control
Committee within the past three years.
The CCC committee will
consider, on a case-by-case basis, applications from public
water systems whose CCSs will be leaving in the near future.
