Revised Final Economic Recovery Funding List

Washington State is distributing about $38.5 million in economic recovery funds for drinking water construction projects.

The list below contains drinking water projects the Department of Health and State Public Works Board approved for federal stimulus funds under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

Revised Final Funding List updated August 4, 2009 (PDF 21kb)
Map of Approved Projects (PDF 1,712kb)
Governor's Certification of Projects June 30 and August 6, 2009 (PDF 274kb)

The list below includes drinking water projects that would be eligible to advance if any of the funded projects can't proceed.

Additional information about the capitalization grant is provided in the Intended Use Plan (PDF 36 kb) and EPA's approval letter for the final IUP.

We reviewed 347 project applications totaling more than $415 million. A total of 24 projects in 18 counties were approved for funding.

There wasn't enough money to pay for every eligible project. We gave weight to projects that can start within four months. We also looked for projects that address high-priority public health issues and projects in disadvantaged communities where economic hits have been the hardest and jobs are sorely needed.

Applicants that didn't receive economic recovery funds can ask us to consider them for funding from the 2009 DWSRF loan program this fall. We anticipate there will be about $40 million available then.
