Laboratory InformationReportingWAC 246-101 requires laboratories to report all blood lead test results to the Washington State Department of Health. All elevated blood lead levels (10µg/dL or higher in youths under age 15, and 25µg/dL or higher in adults) must be reported within two days. All other test results must be reported within one month. |

Information provided must include:

specimen type
-
name and telephone number of laboratory
-
date specimen collected
-
date specimen received
-
requesting health care provider’s name and telephone number or address
-
test result
-
name of patient (if available) or patient identifier
-
sex
-
date of birth or age of patient (if available)
-
patient’s address when available, in order to facilitate public health follow-up of cases with elevated blood lead levels.
