Our Mission:

Working for a safer and healthier Washington by applying the science of epidemiology for making public health decisions related to non-infectious conditions

Our Vision:

The Non-Infectious Conditions Epidemiology unit initiates and directs epidemiologic investigations and provides:

  • An independent, non-programmatic, cross-cutting perspective for program evaluation and identification of health problems and their determinants;
  • Collaborative leadership in cluster investigations of non-infectious conditions;
  • Leadership and support for the development of infrastructure that improves tools and systems used to collect, analyze, and disseminate data; and
  • A coordinated approach to develop Local Health Jurisdiction assessment capacity through tools, training and technical assistance.
