The Washington State Mental Health
Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists,
and Social Workers Advisory Committee has
openings for:
- Three public members
- One licensed advanced social worker
The Secretary of Health appoints members
for three-year terms. In order to qualify
one must:
- Live in Washington State.
- Not hold an office in a professional association for Mental Health, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Not be employees of Washington State.
- Have worked as mental health counselors or licensed advanced social workers for five years.
Consumer members represent the public and cannot be affiliated with the professions listed in RCW 18.225.
The committee meets four times each year. These meetings are typically held on Fridays. Members are paid $50 a day, and travel expenses.
