The Department of Health Rule Development for a Hospice Standards and Need Forecasting Methodology.

On November 17, 2010, Governor Chris Gregoire issued executive order 10-06 suspending rule development and adoption, effective immediately and running through December 31, 2011.  Under the order, all activity on "non-critical" rules is immediately suspended.  Rulemaking is allowed to continue if the certain exemption criteria is meet.

The department has currently placed a temporary suspension on all rulemaking activities.  During the next month, all open rules will be reviewed to determine which rules are "non-critical" and which ones meet the exemption criteria.
