Applicants must pass the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB) exam. Professional Exam Services (PES) and the AMFTRB establish the passing score for exam. PES administers the exam.

The Department of Health (DOH) application process may take 6 to 8 weeks. You must plan for this processing time, if you plan to test in a specific testing window.

You will not be able to register for the exam until DOH has approved your application. You will be e-mailed exam registration information, once your documentation has been approved.
