Renew Online
We will roll-out implementation of online renewals in multiple phases. As
this list is changing monthly, please check back. If your profession is not
currently on the list, do not wait to renew as this may result in your
credential expiring .
The following professions
may be renewed online:
- Animal Massage Certification for Large Animals
- Animal Massage Certification for Small Animals
- Athletic Trainer
- Counselor-Agency Affiliated
- Dental Assistant
- Dental Hygiene
- Dental Hygiene Renewable Limited
- Dietitian
- Expanded Functional Dental Auxiliary
- Hypnotherapist
- Licensed Social Worker Associate-Independent Clinical
- Naturopathic Physicians
- Nutritionist
- Pharmacy Technician
- Recreational Therapist
- Surgical Technologist
There is a $2 convenience fee required to renew online.
This amount will be charged in addition to your renewal
amount. NOTE:
Your receipt will not reflect the convenience fee.
You will not be able to renew online if:
- Your credential has already expired.
- You are currently in any other status such as military, inactive, or retired.
- You want to change your status from active to military, inactive, or retired.
- You have an address change.
- You have a name change.

Is your contact information current?
We must have your current mailing address in our system for you to renew online.
We mail your updated credential to the address on file. The United States Postal
Service will not send your credential to a forwarding address.
If your contact information is not current in our system, please
complete and submit the address change
form. Please include a valid email address. Contact us for follow-up information.
What do I need to renew online?
NOTE: System maintenance is performed periodically on Thursdays from
5:45 p.m. to 12:00
a.m. If the system is not available, please check back later.
- To get started:
- Create an account with Secure Access Washington (SAW)
- Online renewal SAW service code: 7472
- Create a Department of Health account

Your Department of Health Online Renewal User ID
is: (This is located on your renewal notice). Contact Customer
Service at 360-236-4700 if you don't have your renewal notice.
- Your Department of Health password is
your social security number
- Pay renewal fee and $2 convenience fee with a VISA or
MasterCard
