EMS and Trauma Systems - Provides leadership and direction to meet the medical education needs of EMS caregivers. The section works actively with the state Pre-Hospital Technical Advisory Committee, eight regional EMS and Trauma Care (EMS/TC) Councils, and many other health care organizations to bring quality training to EMS responders, and systems development assistance to each region.

 

Application forms are provided in Word format and  can be filled out on the computer.  They may also be printed and saved.  For those forms not provided in Word format, please print out the form, complete the application and obtain the required signatures.

OTEP Requirements and Program Development

"Educational Requirements for the Recertification of EMS Personnel"  - this handbook provides both CME and OTEP requirements and includes:

  • Educational Requirements - Annual and certification period 

  • Skill maintenance requirements

  • Topic content and topic source information

  • OTEP program development

  • OTEP approval requirements

  • OTEP instructor and EMS Evaluator requirements

  • EMS Evaluator Workshop information

OTEP Application  Complete the application, and provide it with your three year plan to the County MPD for review and approval.

Additional OTEP Materials - including the Department of Health Check Off Sheet for Review and Approval of an OTEP and a Completed Sample, and sample OTEP materials, including sample plans, administrative forms and PowerPoint presentations.

Department of Health Check Off Sheet for Review and Approval of an OTEP and Completed Sample.  This form is for the Department of Health use in determining if an OTEP plan has covered all requirements.  The applying agency does not need to complete this form.
