The Department of Health and the Certificate of Need
program is currently in the process of updating the rules for governing
elective cardiac procedures.
In May of 2008, a survey was sent to hospitals in the State of
Washington requesting that they provide the number of inpatient and
outpatient Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCIs) performed in 2006
and 2007. To include Washington residents receiving PCIs in Oregon the
program obtained 2005 and 2006 Oregon data from the department’s
Hospital and Patient Data system. 2007 Oregon data has been requested
but it is not yet available. The excel file below contains the data we
received through the survey process and the Oregon data.
