Migrant Farmworker Housing (MFH)

 Inspections, Compliance Inspection, and Consultations:

Regular, Non-Cherry Harvest Camp

On-site surveys/inspections are normally performed:

  1. After receipt of an initial application.
  2. Twice a year,  prior to and during operation of the housing.
  3. When a follow-up/compliance inspection is determined to be necessary.
  4. When there is a change of ownership.
  5. When a complaint about the MFH housing facility is received.
  6. When a new site is being proposed.
A field inspector will make an inspection of the housing to determine whether the rules found in chapter 246-358 WAC are being followed.  During the visit, the inspector will provide the operator with a written report outlining the findings.  When violations are found, the operator/grower will need to let us know in writing that corrections have been made.  During the inspection, we will make every effort to answer any questions about complying with the rules.
