Migrant Farmworker Housing (MFH)

When you provide migrant farmworker housing sites, you may need a Temporary Worker Housing license from the Washington State Department of Health. Regular, Non-Cherry Harvest Camp When you provide housing for ten or more people or you use five or more dwelling units, you are required to be licensed by the Department of Health. Please apply for a license at least 45 days prior to occupancy. When sites are smaller, the Temporary Worker Housing rules still apply. The Department of Labor and Industries is responsible for compliance for these smaller sites. Or smaller sites can choose to be licensed with the MFH Program: Cherry Harvest Camp Tent housing is only approved for the cherry harvest using DOH approved tents. When you provide tent housing during the cherry harvest for any number of people (one or more), you are required to be licensed by the Department of Health. Please apply for a license at least 45 days prior to occupancy. |
