Primary Care Office |
|
The purpose of the Primary Care Office (PCO) is to
enhance access to primary health care for the underserved. The PCO
is funded by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services
through a yearly grant. The work of the PCO is centered on
representing the needs of those in need of access and of the
organizations and providers who serve them.
The PCO is involved in community and systems development work,
health care planning, provision of technical assistance, and
advocacy. The scope of primary care work includes medical, dental,
mental health, vision, and wellness services. The PCO is concerned
with the integration of all of these services and with establishing
evidence-based practices and new service models.
