Health Professional Loan Repayment
and Scholarship Information
 

 

The Health Professional Loan Repayment and Scholarship programs were created to address the critical shortage of health care professionals in Washington State.

  • The loan repayment program provides loan repayment assistance to licensed primary care health professionals.  Eligible provider types  
     
  • The scholarship program provides scholarships to students training to become primary care health professionals.

    In return, participants in both programs agree to provide primary care health service in rural or underserved urban areas with designated shortages.

Information for Facilities Seeking Loan Repayment

The site application period for the 2011 cycle is now closed.  The next cycle will begin July 2, 2012.

Provider types eligible to submit provider applications

The provider application period closed on April 29, 2011.  The next application period will begin in January 2012, after all eligible practice sites have been determined.
