Exam Information

Applicants for licensure as a marriage and family therapist must pass the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB) exam. The testing company and the AMFTRB set the passing score on the exam. You cannot register for the exam until we have approved your application, experience, and education. Once approved, we will send you information on how to register for the exam. Professional Exam Services administers the exam.
