Licensed Counselor Program seeks two public members, and Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW)
The Washington State Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Social Workers Advisory Committee has openings for two public members and a Licensed Advanced Social Worker.
The Secretary of Health appoints members for three-year terms. They must live in Washington. They cannot hold an office in a professional association for Mental Health, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy. They also cannot be employees of Washington State. Members must have worked as mental health counselors or licensed advanced social workers for five years.
Consumer members represent the public and cannot be affiliated with the professions listed in RCW 18.225.
The committee meets four times each year. Members are paid $50 a day, and travel expenses.
