Exam Information

Applicants register to take the exam directly through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

The National Counselor Examination (NCE) and the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) are accepted for licensure in Washington State.

If you have questions regarding the exam registration process, please contact NBCC at (336) 547-0607 or visit www.nbcc.org.

After passing the exam, each applicant must have their exam scores sent directly from NBCC.
