Thank you for your inquiry about the Washington State Living Will Registry (LWR).  Due to state funding reductions, the Department of Health closed the Living Will Registry on July 1, 2011.  We are no longer accepting health care directive documents for storage on the registry. 

The Internet is a good place to search for information on organizations that provide living will registry services.  

People who signed up with Washington State’s LWR before June 20, 2011 have a lifetime registration with the U.S. Living Will Registry, a private corporation.  To access your health care directives, go to the U.S. Living Will Registry’s website at http://www.uslivingwillregistry.com.  If you have questions, please call U.S. Living Will Registry at 1-800-548-9455.
