"Information Overload"
Pandemic flu 30-second Radio Script

Washington State Department of Health

SECRETARY OF HEALTH MARY SELECKY: “I’m Washington State Secretary of Health Mary Selecky. There’s been a lot of talk about Avian flu lately. It’s important to know this is mainly a bird disease. Yet many experts think the virus could change in a way that puts people at risk – perhaps leading to a flu pandemic.

Take steps now to be prepared.”

MALE NARRATOR:
1. “Wash your hands and cover your cough and sneeze.

2. Stock up on supplies lasting a week or more.

3. Have an emergency plan.

Visit www.doh.wa.gov for information to help you prepare.
