Public Health Week
2008 Public Health in Washington State National Public Health Week provides an opportunity to educate the public, policy-makers and public health professionals about issues important to improving the public’s health. Each year during public health week, we like to showcase some of the many facets of public health. In years past, we profiled some of the people who work for public health (see the left sidebar for links to profiles). This year, we're focusing on a few of the dozens of programs--on topics from aging to zoonotic diseases--that make up the Department of Health. The Department of Health is part of a statewide public health system that works for you, your family and your community every day.
