Lakewood nurse suspended for criminal charges of voyeurism
OLYMPIA ? The Washington State Department of Health and the Nursing Commission have immediately suspended the license of Lakewood license practical nurse Steven E. Trujillo (LP00045019) for unprofessional conduct after criminal charges of voyeurism were filed. Trujillo cannot practice or be employed as a licensed practical nurse, pending the outcome of a hearing.
According to the statement of charges, Trujillo watched a minor through her apartment window as she was getting dressed after a shower. Trujillo has an opportunity to respond to the charges and to request a hearing. The charging documents and prior order are available online; click "Provider Credential Search" on the agency home page (www.doh.wa.gov) or by calling 360-236-4700.
The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission protects and promotes public health, safety and welfare in Washington by regulating the competency and quality of nurses. The program establishes, monitors and enforces qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms and discipline. Rules, policies and procedures developed by the commission promote the delivery of quality health care to people in Washington.
