Health advisory lifted for Marbello water system

OLYMPIA ? The Marbello Water System is advising all its water customers that it is safe to use their drinking water. Recent tests of the water have shown that it is at safe levels meeting all water quality standards. The system serves about 290 people near Monroe in Snohomish County.

"We have repaired the main break, disinfected and flushed the lines and tested the water. The results of the tests indicate that the water is again safe to drink and use for all ordinary household activities," said Sondra LeBaron, Marbello Water Company Utility Manager.

"We?re pleased that the system staff worked rapidly to repair the damage to the main line and again provide safe drinking water to it customers," Derek Pell, assistant regional manager for the northwest section of the department?s drinking water program.

Water taps or other fixtures that have not been used since the advisory was issued or have not been used over the past two days should be flushed until there?s a change in water temperature. This indicates clean water from the main has reached your faucet.

If you have questions, call the Marbello Water Company at 206-282-4200.
