Treuman Katz is President Emeritus of Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center in Seattle after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer for more than twenty-five years. Mr. Katz served as a top executive at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a one thousand bed hospital in Los Angeles, for 11 years prior to his tenure at Children’s.

During his tenure, Mr. Katz guided Children’s to become one of America’s top five children’s hospitals with assets of over $1,000,000,000 and an annual budget of more than $500,000,000. The company’s financial performance is considered to be the most effective, compared to similar institutions in the Northwest based on its Moody’s rating, debt service, debt capitalization, excess margin and operating margin. Children’s Hospital serves the largest land mass of pediatric in the entire nation which includes Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.

Children’s Hospital serves as the teaching site for interns and residents for the University of Washington School of Medicine and is considered to be one of the top two choices of graduating medical students seeking pediatric residencies.
