Dr. Ortiz has more than twenty years of experience as a family practice physician providing care to all ages.  She is currently employed by Wenatchee Valley Medical Center where she advocates prevention, healthy lifestyles and a healthy environment in her practice as critical factors to improving the health of Washington’s citizens.  Dr. Ortiz is a graduate of Stanford University and University of Washington Medical School, Seattle, Washington.  She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and Physicians for Social Responsibility.  She was also a director of Cascade School Board #228 from 1996 to 2004.

Dr. Ortiz serves as a civil surgeon for the U.S. Citizenship Immigration Service, performing physical exams for prospective immigrants, as well as medical director of Chelan-Douglas Family Planning.  She is also involved in local land use planning issues in her community.
