Strengthening Ties with Local Boards of Health

In response to the Governor's directive to reduce expenses and restrict
travel to only that which is essential to conducting business, the State
Board of Health has made some tough choices about the way we do
business. Since 2002, the Board has been involved in a project to
strengthen ties with local
boards of health (LBOH) by traveling to all counties in Washington to
attend their regular meetings. To cut travel expenses, the Board has
decided to put a hold on attending those meetings until the budget
allows. We appreciate
your understanding and look forward to resuming that meeting
participation at the earliest possible opportunity.
