Board hears about state residents' health

Leading causes of death and chronic disease in Washington were the topic of a report when the State Board of Health met Jan. 11 in Tumwater. Executive Director Michelle Davis previewed the legislative session, and the Board approved a statement about potential 2012 legislative issues. Other agenda items include a rule delegation request about water recreation facilities, as well as strategic plan preparation involving immunization rates and public health finance. A proposed final agenda and meeting materials are available.
