Rules

The medical marijuana law integrates the medical market with the regulated market. The department has rule-making authority over three main components of the law:

• Authorization Database – chapter 246-71 WAC
• Consultant Certification Program – chapter 246-72 WAC
• Marijuana Product Compliance – chapter 246-70 WAC

Rules in Progress

The Department of Health (department) has opened chapter 246-72 WAC - Medical Marijuana Consultant Certification rules to consider amendments that would enhance and clarify training requirements and practice parameters of a medical marijuana certified consultant. Filed on 2/25/2020 under WSR 20-06-027.

Adopted Rules

• Temporary suspension of the skills demonstration portion only, of the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) requirement to obtain a medical marijuana consultant certification (Effective August 26, 2020 - expires after 120 days).
