Small Water System Owning and operating a public drinking water system is a big responsibility. There are few things more important to maintaining good health than having access to safe drinking water. The purpose of the Small Water System Management Program Guide (313KB PDF) is to assist owners/operators of small non-expanding community Group A water systems to meet the requirements of state and federal drinking water laws, and ultimately to protect the health of their customers. Much of the guide will be useful on a day-to-day basis. The guide can be used as a filing system for system personnel. In addition to serving as a central filing system, by completing the guide, systems will also satisfy the Small Water System Management Program requirement in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 246-290-105 and the capacity requirement for water systems mandated in the federal Safe Drinking Water Act.
