Hard-Cooked Eggs in Brine  (February 1, 2012)

Michael Foods recalls Hard-Cooked Peeled Eggs in brine sold in 10 and 25 pound pails for institutional use because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The product was labeled under the brand names of Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti's, Silverbrook, and Wholesome Farms. Sardine Anchovies  (February 1, 2012)

W&C International Import recalls Rely brand Sardine Anchovies in 7 oz. packages because the product was un-eviscerated and my be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. For details, see Rely Sardine Anchovies press release and product photos.

Bin-Bin Rice Crackers  (January 31, 2012)

Gemini Food Corporation recalls Bin-Bin Snow Rice Crackers and Bin-Bin Rice Crackers because of undeclared egg allergens. The crackers were sold at Asian markets. For details, see Bin-Bin Rice Crackers press release and product photos.

Walgreens Chocolate-Covered Raisins  (January 28, 2012)

Walgreen Company recalls 13 oz. Walgreens Chocolate-Covered Raisins because the packages may contain Walgreens Bridge Mix with peanut, almond, and soy ingredients. For details, see Walgreens Chocolate-Covered Raisins press release and product photo.

Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes  (January 27, 2012)

Pinnacle Foods Group recalls six different Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancake products because they contain soy protein, an undeclared allergen. For details, see Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes press release and product photos.

Jones' Mock Salt  (January 23, 2012)

Jones' Seasoning Blends recalls Jones’ Mock Salt Original and Jones’ Mock Salt Spicy Southwest Blend because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were sold online and distributed to grocery stores and markets in Olympia, Tacoma, Puyallup, Everett, Gig Harbor, Vashon Island, and Kent. Tressé and Shinglish Cheese  (January 19, 2012)

Kradjian Imp Co recalls Cedar Tree brand Tressé Cheese and Shinglish Cheese because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The cheeses were distributed to Mediterranean specialty markets. For details see Tressé and Shinglish Cheese press release and product photos.

Raw Milk Products  (January 17, 2012)

Frisia Dairy and Creamery recalls unpasteurized milk products, including Whole, Skim, and Cream because routine testing found E. coli in a sample. The raw milk products were sold at the farm in Tenino and in stores in Lewis, Thurston, and Pierce counties. For details, see Frisia Dairy Raw Milk.

Vanilla Sponge Cake  (January 5, 2012)

Rich Products Corporation recalls 1/4 (Quarter) Sheet Vanilla Flavored Pre-Soaked Sponge Cake because small plastic fragments from the packaging may be on top of the product. The product was sold through Fred Meyer and Walmart. The sponge cake is not packaged for retail distribution and is sold by the case primarily to in-store bakeries and some foodservice customers. Safeway Chocolate Chip Cookies  (January 4, 2012)

D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Company recalls Safeway Snack Artist Sugar Free Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Cookies because they contain undeclared milk and eggs. Martinelli's Sparkling Cider  (December 30, 2011)

Martinelli's Gold Medal Sparkling Cider in six-pack shrink-bundle 250 mL glass bottles are being recalled because of a possible defective seal that could break when opening the bottle. For details, see Sparkling Cider press release and product photos.

Jalapeño and Serrano Peppers  (December 21, 2011)

Cal Fresco recalls bulk Jalapeño and Serrano Chili Peppers because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The peppers were sold through Safeway and Charlie's Produce. For details, see Jalapeño and Serrano Peppers press release and product photos.

Popcorn  (December 20, 2011)

Popcorn Palace recalls 1-Gallon Value Bag popcorn products because they may contain undeclared ingredients (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy, and wheat). The popcorn was sold through fundraising programs and would have been purchased after October 1, 2011. For details, see Popcorn press release.

Organic Celery Seed  (December 16, 2011)

B&M, Inc. recalls O Organics Organic Celery Seed because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The product was sold at all Safeway-owned stores, including Safeway, Carrs, Dominick's, Genuardi's, Pak 'N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, and Vons. Tejava Iced Tea  (December 9, 2011)

Crystal Geyser Water Company recalls Tejava Premium Iced Tea because there may be glass fragments in the bottles. United Natural Foods distributed the tea in grocery stores and natural food stores throughout Washington. For details, see Tejava Iced Tea press release and product photos.

Korean Cake  (December 8, 2011)

Rhee Bros., Inc. recalls ASSI brand Korean Cake (Gyeong Dan) because it contains undeclared egg. The rice cakes were sold in Asian food stores. For details, see Korean Cake press release and product photo.

Ravioli  (December 8, 2011)

D'Orazio Foods recalls frozen stuffed pasta ravioli products that were produced without federal inspection. The ravioli was sold at Albertsons in Clark, Pierce, and Thurston counties, and through independent grocers. For details, see Ravioli news release and product photos (PDF).

Golden Glen Creamery Butter  (December 3, 2011)

Golden Glen Creamery recalls Herbes de Provence Butter and Northwest Mushroom Trio Butter because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Craisins  (November 25, 2011)

Salmon Products  (November 23, 2011)

King & Prince Seafood Corporation recalls Nova Style Cold Smoked Salmon and Sable Fish Lox, Salmon Sushi Fillets, and Salmon Trim because the salmon products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. For details, see Salmon products press release.

Raw Milk  (November 23, 2011)

Cozy Vale Creamery recalls raw milk products because they may be contaminated with  E. coli. The raw milk products were sold at the farm in Tenino and at markets in King, Pierce, and Thurston counties. Illnesses have been associated with the raw milk. Boyal Dry Fish  (November 23, 2011)

Four Star Import and Distribution recalls Noya brand Boyal Dry Fish because they may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. For details, see Boyal Dry Fish press release and product photo.

Romaine Lettuce Salads  (November 16, 2011)

Ready Pac Foods recalls bagged salad products containing Romaine lettuce because they may be contaminated with E. coli. The salads were primarily distributed to Safeway and Trader Joe's. For details, see Romaine Lettuce Salads press release and product photos.

Divina Stuffed Olives  (November 9, 2011)

United Natural Foods recalls Divina Olives Stuffed with Blue Cheese because they may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. The olives were sold at Safeway, Carrs, Pavilion, and Vons. For details, see Divina Stuffed Olives press release.

Raw Cheddar  (November 8, 2011)

Golden Glen Creamery recalls Raw Cheddar because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. For details, see Raw Cheddar press release and product photo.

Oysters from Korea  (November 4, 2011)

Korean Farm Inc. recalls ASSI brand Individually Quick Frozen Oysters from Korea because they may be contaminated with norovirus. The oysters where sold at Boo Han Market in Edmonds, Asian Market in Lakewood, Boo Han Market in Tacoma, Pardo in Federal Way, and possibly other stores. Smoked Mackerel and Round Scad  (November 3, 2011)

Foremost Foods recalls Pangasinan brand Smoked Mackerel (Hasa-Hasa) and Smoked Round Scad (Tinapang Galunggong) because they may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. Chicken Pot Pie Empanadas  (October 31, 2011)

Windsor Quality Food Company recalls Molly's Kitchen Mini Chicken Pot Pie Empanadas because they may contain pieces of plastic. For details, see Chicken Pot Pie Empanadas news release.

Butter Cookies  (October 29, 2011)

Rite Aid recalls Rich Fields Butter Cookies because they may be contaminated with Bacillus cereus. The cookies were sold in Rite Aid stores. For details, see Butter Cookies press release and product photos.

Nate's Spiced Prawns  (October 28, 2011)

Pacific Oyster Company recalls Nate's Spiced Prawns because it contains undeclared sulfites. The prawns were sold at WinCo Foods in the Vancouver area and Harvest Grocery in White Salmon. For details, see Nate's Spiced Prawns press release and product photo.

Soy Protein Burgers  (October 28, 2011)

Gardenburger recalls Eating Right Soy Protein Burgers because the packages actually contain Veggie Burgers, which contain milk. The package label doesn't list milk as an ingredient. The burgers were sold in Safeway, Carrs, Dominick's Genuardi's, Pak 'N' Save, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Vons, and Pavilions grocery stores. Landshire Nike All-American Sandwich  (October 20, 2011)

Landshire recalls Nike All-American sandwiches because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The sandwiches were sold at Walmart. For details, see Nike All-American press release and product photos.

Nancy Adams Mini S'mores  (October 19, 2011)

Nassau Candy Distributors recalls Nancy Adams Classics Mini S'mores because they may contain peanuts, which are not listed on the label. The product was sold at Marshalls, T.J.Maxx, and HomeGoods stores. For details, see Mini S'mores press release and product photos.

Salads  (October 19, 2011)

Taylor Farms Retail recalls various salad blends because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The brands include Fresh Selections, HEB, Marketside, and Taylor Farms. The salads were sold at Walmart and other supermarkets. For details, see Taylor Farms Salads press release and product photos.

Oysters from British Columbia  (October 15, 2011)

Canadian Food Inspection Agency warns the public not to consume certain oysters from British Columbia because they may contain paralytic shellfish toxins. Two companies in Washington received some of the oysters. Most of the product is accounted for and will be destroyed. Consumers who are unsure if they have the affected products should check with their retailer or supplier. For details, see British Columbia Oysters news release.

Tuna  (October 12, 2011)

Osamu Corporation recalls frozen ground tuna because decomposition and elevated histamine levels were found in samples. The tuna was distributed to AFC Corporation who has sushi franchises located in grocery stores. For details, see Tuna press release.

Mrs. Freshley's Cereal Bars  (October 4, 2011)

Flowers Foods recalls Mrs. Freshley's Strawberry, Blueberry, and Apple Cinnamon Cereal Bars because they may contain undeclared non-fat dry milk. The cereal bars were sold at Big Lots. For details, see Mrs. Freshley's Cereal Bars press release and product photos.

Velveeta Shells & Cheese Cups  (September 30, 2011)

Kraft Foods recalls three varieties of Velveeta Shells & Cheese Single Serve Microwavable Cups because they might contain small, thin wire bristle pieces. For details, see Velveeta Shells & Cheese press release and product photos.

Romaine Lettuce  (September 29, 2011)

True Leaf Farms recalls Chopped Romaine bagged lettuce because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The romaine lettuce was sold at Cash & Carry stores and was distributed to a limited number of schools, restaurants, and cafeterias in Washington. SeaPak Breaded Butterfly Shrimp  (September 23, 2011)

Oysters from Hood Canal  (September 23, 2011)

Distributors, retailers, restaurants, and consumers are advised not to eat, sell, or ship oysters harvested between August 30 and September 19 from Hood Canal growing area #4. The state Department of Health closed oyster harvesting in the area after five people who ate raw oysters got sick with vibriosis. For details, see Hood Canal Oysters news release.

Pepperidge Farm recalls Baked Naturals Sesame Sticks because they may contain small, thin pieces of wire. For details, see Sesame Sticks press release and product photos.

Raw Milk  (September 19, 2011)

Del Bueno Queso Fresco Cheese  (September 16, 2011)

Basil  (September 14, 2011)

YoCream Frozen Yogurt Mix  (August 23, 2011)

YoCream International recalls Nonfat NY Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt Mix because it contains undeclared eggs. Layer Dips  (August 12, 2011)

Fresh Food Concepts recalls various 5 Layer, 6 Layer, and 7 Layer Dip products containing guacamole because the avocado may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. For details, see Layer Dip press release.

Popsicles  (August 11, 2011)

Unilever United State Incorporated recalls Popsicle brand Sugar Free Orange, Cherry, and Grape flavored ice pops that mistakenly contain Popsicle brand Bunch, Fudgsicle, and Creamsicle ice pops. Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation recalls about 36 million pounds of fresh and frozen ground turkey products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella Heidelberg. Agromod Produce Incorporated recalls Papayas because they may be contaminated with Salmonella Agona. The fresh, whole papayas were distributed nationwide through retail stores and wholesalers. Deli Meat products  (May 13, 2011)

Rose & Shore Meat Company recalls 15,900 pounds of ready-to-eat deli meat products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Safeway Kabobs with Grape Tomatoes  (May 4, 2011)

Grape Tomatoes in Salads  (May 2, 2011 - May 4 update)

Quinault Pride Canned Seafood  (April 29, 2011)

Quinault Tribal Enterprise recalls all Quinault Pride canned seafood products because they were not adequately processed to meet FDA regulations. Cantaloupes at Costco  (March 22, 2011)

Kashi Southwest Style Chicken  (March 17, 2011)

Kashi recalls Kashi Southwest Style Chicken because the packages may instead contain Kashi Chicken Pasta Pomodoro, which contains egg, a potential allergen that was not listed on the label. For details, see Kashi Chicken news release and product photo (PDF).

Vitalabs Whey-26 Protein Powder  (March 10, 2011)

Vitalabs recalls Whey-26 Protein Powder because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. Nearly two dozen different brand names were affected by this recall. The products were sold at a variety of locations including health food stores, clinics, fitness companies, and internet based companies. Remedy Teas  (March 8, 2011)

RemedyTeas recalls Peppermint Organic Herbal Tea and Tranquility Herbal Tea because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The teas were sold measured to customers in the Seattle retail store and through mail and internet orders. For details, see RemedyTeas press release and product photo.

Teavana Peppermint Tea  (March 3, 2011)

Gold Star Sausage recalls Johnson Chili and Johnson Chili, Hot & Spicy because they contain soy, a potential allergen that is not declared on the label. American Spoon Salsa and Sauces  (February 3, 2011)

American Spoon Foods recalls Apple Chipotle Salsa, Maple BBQ Grilling Sauce, and Pumpkin Chipotle Roasting Sauce because they may contain an undeclared allergen, wheat flour. Keebler Fudge Shoppe Jumbo Fudge Sticks  (January 27, 2011)

Keebler recalls 8-count cartons of Fudge Shoppe Jumbo Fudge Sticks because some contain Jumbo Peanut Butter Sticks. The carton was incorrectly labeled - no mention of peanuts, which is an allergen for some people. The individually wrapped wafer sticks in the carton were correctly labeled. Mama Rose's Con Queso and Salsa products  (January 20, 2011)

Sour Candy - Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars  (January 14, 2011)

Candy Dynamics recalls Toxic Waste brand Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars because they may contain elevated levels of lead. The sour candy is distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders. For details, see Toxic Waste Candy press release and product photos.

Tamales  (January 6, 2011)

Homestead Pasta Company recalls Garibaldi Beef and Turkey Tamale, Golden West Traditional Beef and Turkey Tamale, and Casper Homestead Pasta Company Beef and Chicken Tamale products because they contain an undeclared allergen, whey, which was not listed on the label. Sprouts  (January 3, 2011)

Sprouters Northwest recalls several clover sprout products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The sprouts have been connected to an outbreak of Salmonella that has sickened four people in Washington and two in Oregon.
