Hard-Cooked Eggs in Brine (February 1, 2012)
Michael Foods recalls Hard-Cooked Peeled Eggs in brine
sold in 10 and 25 pound pails for institutional use
because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The product was labeled under the brand names of
Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti's,

W&C International Import recalls Rely brand Sardine
Anchovies in 7 oz. packages because the product was
un-eviscerated and my be contaminated with

Gemini Food Corporation recalls Bin-Bin Snow Rice
Crackers and Bin-Bin Rice Crackers because of undeclared

Walgreen Company recalls 13 oz. Walgreens

Jones' Seasoning Blends recalls
Jones’ Mock Salt Original and Jones’ Mock Salt Spicy
Southwest Blend because they may be contaminated with
Salmonella. The products were sold online and distributed to
grocery stores and markets in Olympia, Tacoma, Puyallup,
Everett, Gig Harbor, Vashon Island, and Kent. For

Kradjian Imp Co recalls Cedar Tree brand Tressé
Cheese and Shinglish Cheese because they may be
contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The
cheeses were distributed to Mediterranean specialty

Raw Milk Products (January 17, 2012)
Frisia Dairy and Creamery recalls unpasteurized milk
products, including Whole, Skim, and Cream because
routine testing found E. coli in a sample. The
raw milk products were sold at the farm in Tenino and in
stores in Lewis, Thurston, and Pierce counties. For

Vanilla Sponge Cake (January 5, 2012)
Rich Products Corporation recalls 1/4 (Quarter) Sheet
Vanilla Flavored Pre-Soaked Sponge Cake because small
plastic fragments from the packaging may be on top of
the product. The product was sold through Fred Meyer and
Walmart. The sponge cake is not packaged for retail
distribution and is sold by the case primarily to
in-store bakeries and some foodservice customers. For

Safeway Chocolate Chip Cookies (January 4, 2012)
D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Company recalls Safeway Snack
Artist Sugar Free Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Cookies
because they contain undeclared milk and eggs. The
cookies were sold at Safeway, Carrs, Dominick's,
Genuardi's, Pak 'N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb,

Martinelli's Gold Medal Sparkling Cider in six-pack
shrink-bundle 250 mL glass
bottles are being recalled because of a possible
defective seal that could break when opening the bottle.

21, 2011)
Cal Fresco recalls bulk Jalapeño
and Serrano Chili Peppers because they may be

Popcorn (December 20, 2011)
Popcorn Palace recalls 1-Gallon Value Bag popcorn
products because they may contain undeclared ingredients
(peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy, and wheat). The popcorn
was sold through fundraising programs and would have

Organic Celery Seed (December 16, 2011)
B&M, Inc. recalls O Organics Organic Celery Seed because
it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The
product was sold at all Safeway-owned stores, including

Crystal Geyser Water Company recalls Tejava Premium Iced
Tea because there may be glass fragments in the bottles.
United Natural Foods distributed the tea in grocery

D'Orazio Foods recalls frozen stuffed pasta ravioli
products that were produced without federal inspection.

Cozy Vale Creamery recalls raw milk products because
they may be contaminated with
E. coli. The raw milk products were sold at the
farm in Tenino and at markets in King, Pierce, and

Oysters from Korea (November 4, 2011)
Korean Farm Inc. recalls ASSI brand Individually Quick
Frozen Oysters from Korea because they may be
contaminated with norovirus. The oysters where sold at
Boo Han Market in Edmonds, Asian Market in Lakewood, Boo
Han Market in Tacoma, Pardo in Federal Way, and possibly
other stores. Illnesses have been associated with the

Smoked Mackerel and Round Scad (November 3, 2011)
Foremost Foods recalls Pangasinan brand Smoked Mackerel
(Hasa-Hasa) and Smoked Round Scad (Tinapang Galunggong)
because they may be contaminated with Clostridium
botulinum. The fish was sold at Seafood City

Rite Aid recalls Rich Fields Butter Cookies because they
may be contaminated with Bacillus cereus. The cookies

Pacific Oyster Company recalls Nate's Spiced Prawns
because it contains undeclared sulfites. The prawns were
sold at WinCo Foods in the Vancouver area and Harvest

Soy Protein Burgers (October 28, 2011)
Gardenburger recalls Eating Right Soy Protein Burgers
because the packages actually contain Veggie Burgers,
which contain milk. The package label doesn't list milk
as an ingredient. The burgers were sold in Safeway,
Carrs, Dominick's Genuardi's, Pak 'N' Save, Randalls,
Tom Thumb, Vons, and Pavilions grocery stores. For

Nassau Candy Distributors recalls Nancy Adams Classics
Mini S'mores because they may contain peanuts, which are
not listed on the label. The product was sold at

Salads (October 19, 2011)
Taylor Farms Retail recalls various salad blends because
they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The
brands include Fresh Selections, HEB, Marketside, and
Taylor Farms. The salads were sold at Walmart and other

Oysters from British Columbia (October 15, 2011)
Canadian Food Inspection Agency warns the public not to
consume certain oysters from British Columbia
because they may contain paralytic shellfish toxins. Two
companies in Washington received some of the oysters.
Most of the product is accounted for and will be
destroyed. Consumers who are unsure if they have the
affected products should check with their retailer or

Tuna (October 12, 2011)
Osamu Corporation recalls frozen ground tuna because
decomposition and elevated histamine levels were found
in samples. The tuna was distributed to AFC Corporation
who has sushi franchises located in grocery stores. For

Mrs. Freshley's Cereal Bars (October 4, 2011)
Flowers Foods recalls Mrs. Freshley's Strawberry,
Blueberry, and Apple Cinnamon Cereal Bars because they

Oysters from Hood Canal (September 23, 2011)
Distributors, retailers, restaurants, and consumers are
advised not to eat, sell, or ship oysters harvested
between August 30 and September 19 from Hood Canal
growing area #4. The state Department of Health closed oyster harvesting in the area after five people who
ate raw oysters got sick with vibriosis. For details,

Kashi Southwest Style Chicken (March 17, 2011)
Kashi recalls Kashi Southwest Style Chicken because the
packages may instead contain Kashi Chicken Pasta
Pomodoro, which contains egg, a potential allergen that

Vitalabs Whey-26 Protein Powder (March 10, 2011)
Vitalabs recalls Whey-26 Protein Powder because it may
be contaminated with Salmonella. Nearly two dozen
different brand names were affected by this recall. The products
were sold at a variety of

clinics, fitness companies, and internet based companies. For

Remedy Teas (March 8, 2011)
RemedyTeas recalls Peppermint Organic Herbal Tea and
Tranquility Herbal Tea because they may be contaminated
with Salmonella.
The
teas were sold measured to customers in the Seattle

Teavana Peppermint Tea (March 3, 2011)
Teavana Corporation recalls Peppermint Organic Herbal
Tea because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The
tea was distributed nationwide and sold measured to
customers in Teavana retail stores and through mail and

American Spoon Foods recalls Apple Chipotle Salsa, Maple

Keebler recalls 8-count cartons of Fudge Shoppe Jumbo Fudge Sticks because
some contain Jumbo Peanut Butter Sticks. The carton was
incorrectly labeled - no mention of peanuts, which is an
allergen for some people. The individually wrapped wafer
sticks in the carton were correctly labeled. For

Chew Bars because they may contain elevated levels of

Tamales (January 6, 2011)
Homestead Pasta Company recalls Garibaldi Beef and
Turkey Tamale, Golden West Traditional Beef and Turkey
Tamale, and Casper Homestead Pasta Company Beef and
Chicken Tamale products because they contain an
undeclared allergen, whey, which was not listed on the
label. The products were sold at QFC, Fred Meyer, and
several other grocery stores throughout the state. For

Sprouts (January 3, 2011)
Sprouters Northwest recalls several clover
sprout products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The
sprouts have been connected to an outbreak of
Salmonella that has sickened four people in
Washington and two in Oregon. The sprouts were
distributed to grocery stores and restaurants throughout
