Food Code Rule Revision

We are revising Chapter 246-215 WAC to keep up with national food safety standards, clarify parts of the code we have had to interpret, and to consider new food safety rules for places that serve young children such as childcare facilities and preschools. With some modifications, our current code is based on the 2001 FDA Food Code. This revision will adopt the 2009 FDA Food Code. View the rule revision timeline (PDF)
